Recreational Craft Directive
DIRECTIVE 94/25/EC of
THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL
of 16 June 1994
- also known as "The Recreational Craft Directive" or RCD for short.
This piece of EU legislation is relevant to anyone from the EU buying a yacht from Kondo Syokai Marine. Proof of RCD compliance (CE marking) of our larger vessels (including the Gazelles) has a cost implication since it involves using the services of a notified body - currently DNV India.
We have produced a brochure covering the essential practical points of the directive to help those customers from the EU decide whether to go for the additional costs of CE marking or not.
