Kondo Syokai Marine is able to provide blasting and painting services to boatyards and boat owners. Our service cleans metal up to a "Near-White Blast Cleaning" finish (NACE 2, Sa 2-1/2, SSPC-SP-10 standard). The end result of this treatment is the removal of nearly all -
- mill scale
- rust
- rust scale
- paint
- foreign matter
Note: the NACE 2 standard allows for very light shadows, very slight streaks and slight discolorations caused by rust stain, mill scale oxides, and light, tight residues of paint and coating to remain - however at least 95 percent of each square inch of surface area is to be free of all visible residues, and the remainder is to be limited to those mentioned above.
Uses
Our blasting and painting service can be used for the cleaning and protection of complete hulls, part hulls, other metal structures or metal components.
Mattencherry Yard Service
Blasting and painting can be done at our Mattencherry yard where we also have haul out facilities.
Mobile Service
Our blasting and painting service is fully mobile and we are able to provide the service at any suitable location. No electricity supply is required. The service is available for use by other businesses such as boatyards and others who have the occassional requirement for the use of blast cleaning. This enables them to provide such services without having to invest in expensive equipment which would only be used occassionally. We can also provide the service direct to customers at their own location when they do not wish to use the facility at our Mattencherry yard.
